When will we open for the season?
We are currently open for the season! New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s most recent executive order “New York Forward Reopening” Plan has determined our region of the state (Capital Region), among others, to be in Phase One of reopening. Campgrounds are currently considered an essential business. While we can open to the public, there are certain limitations we must abide by, including restrictions on opening our public spaces. We will adhere by all restrictions of the “New York Forward Reopening” Plan executive order, and by guidelines recommended by the CDC, WHO, and NYSDOH. Please visit the state website for “Novel Coronavirus” for the most updated information regarding the current New York State restrictions.
Note: Lake George’s Americade event has been rescheduled to July 21-25, 2020.
Can we rent our cabin and tent sites? Will our bathrooms be open?
Yes, we can now rent our tent and cabin sites. Our public restrooms are currently open. Some of our other public spaces will remain closed until further notice, including our pools, sports areas, playgrounds, game room, movie barn, and hay rides.
What changes will be in place for the 2020 camping season?
Public spaces may be limited or closed according to the most recent public guidelines. This may include swimming pools, playgrounds, the game room, recreational and sports areas, movie barn, and hay rides, etc. We will continue to update this webpage regarding these changes.
For the health and safety of our guests and employees, only registered overnight campers will be allowed on the property. Day visitors will not be permitted until further notice. This will help to better maintain social distancing on and off campsites. As New York guidelines regarding social distancing are moderated, we will adjust our visitor policy accordingly.
What are we doing to clean and sanitize facilities?
Our staff is fully committed to doing our best to provide for our guests’ health and safety. Our guests are responsible for their own personal health and safety while on and off their campsite. Please follow the CDC Guidelines for Personal Safety Practices so that every guest can protect themselves and keep others safe. We are working diligently to keep public spaces, surfaces, and objects cleaned and sanitized.
How is our cancellation policy affected?
If you are cancelling your reservation after June 1, 2020, our standard cancellation policy will be implemented (see here). If you must cancel due to the fact that you or someone in your group becomes ill due to COVID-19, and/or you cannot cross an international border, then we will review your case and most likely issue you a full refund.
